5 Himachal Devi Darshan Itinerary
Day 1: Chandigarh Arrival - Mansa Devi Darshan- Sukhna Lake
On your arrival at Chandigarh Airport or Railway Station , our expert Devi Darshan Taxi Driver/ representative will recieve you and take you to the prebooked hotel. Freshen up at the hotel and later visit Mansa Devi Shaktipeeth. Seek blessings from Goddess Mansa Devi and later visit Sukhna Lake. You can also do some shopping at Sector 22 Market for your nears and dears. Night stay at hotel.
Day 2: Chandigarh - Naina Devi- Chintpurni Devi
Check out from the hotel and we will drive for about 3 hours from Chandigarh to reach Naina Devi Shaktipeeth.Naina Devi Shaktipeeth is positioned on hilltop & you can reach the peak of hill by following the concrete stairs or using cable car facility. The eyes of Devi Sati fall at this place.
Later we will drive from Naina Devi to Chintpurni for about 4 hours.Chintpurni Shaktipeeth, also known as Mata Shri Chhinnamastika Devi. Visit Garbha Griha & have darshan of Mata Ji.According to legend the head of Devi Sati fell at this place and is thus considered one of the most important of the 51 Shakti Peeths. The Goddess is depicted in a pindi (phallic) form at the temple & is also known as Shri Chhinnamastika Devi who takes away all the worries of her devotees. The term 'Chhinnamastika' means 'without the head'. Night stay at hotel.
Day 3: Chintpurni - Jwala Ji- Bagla Mukhi- Brajeshwari Devi
Check out early from the hotel and will drive for about one hour from Chintpurni to Jwala Ji Temple situated at a distance of 33 kms. Jwala Devi is the presiding deity present in the form of flames. Due to this fact, the goddess is also referred as the 'Flaming Goddess'. As per the legends Jwala Ji Devi temple is also one of the 51 Shaktipeeths where the mouth or tongue of Devi Sati fell here at the time of self-sacrifice. Ever since, the Goddess occupied the place and she manifested in nine flames that are named as Mahakali, Annapurna, Chandi, Hinglaj, Vindhya Vasini, Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Ambika and Anji Devi respectively.Seek the divine blessings from Jwala Mata Ji & spend some time visiting the nearby temples such as Gorakh Dibbi & Garbh Grih.It is said that centuries ago, a shephard saw the flames for the first time and Raja Bhumi Chandra, the ruler of the area had the original temple built. The Mughal Emperor Akbar installed a gold parasol and Maharaja Ranjit Singh had the dome gilded. Across the courtyard is Devi`s bed chamber and above the temple is the shrine of Baba Gorakhnath.
After darshan we will visit Bagla Mukhi Devi temple.It is believed that worship of goddess Baglamukhi acts like a weapon to stop your enemy from doing harm against you. Goddess Baglamukhi also has the power of turning things into its opposite. She can turn silence into speech, ignorance into knowledge, defeat into a victory, ugliness into beauty and poverty into wealth.
Later proceed for Brajeshwari Devi ( Kangra Devi) situated at a distance of about 29 Kms from Bagla Mukhi Ji. The main deity of this temple is Bajreshwari Devi who is also known as Vajrayogini or Nagarkot Dhaam . She is also the incarnation of Parvati, the Goddess or Aadi Maya on the Earth. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of Devi Mata Ji. Later we will drive for abourt 26 kms to reach Chamunda Devi for night stay at hotel.
Day 4: Chamunda Devi- Dharamshala-Mcledoganj Sightseeing
In the morning visit Chamunda Devi Temple dedicated to the wrathful form of Goddess Durga or Chamunda who in Hindu Mythology is the symbol of female power. The idol of Goddess Chamunda in the temple is considered so sacred that it is completely hidden beneath a red cloth and is kept so always. Seek blessings from Goddess Chamunda & drive to Dharamshala for sightseeing.
Check in to your hotel and freshen up.We will start are sightseeing tour by visiting McLeodganj which has a distinctly different character, with its brightly painted buildings, Buddhist temples, prayer flags fluttering in the air and saffron monks and nuns hurrying along the streets. You will be visiting the main Buddhist temple or Tsuglagkhang (cathedral). It is believed that the temple resembles the one in Lhasa, and is surrounded by red and gold prayer wheels that are set in motion by devotees to scatter prayers in the air.
After spending time on the Mall Road we will visit Dal Lake along with Church of St. John in the Wilderness, built in 1860.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5 :Mcleodganj-Baijnath Shiv Temple-Manali
In the morning after breakfast drive towards Baijnath and seek blessings from Lord Shiva.Baijnath Temple is a major shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. In this temple homage is paid to Vaidyanath or Lord of Physicians, which is one of the forms of Lord Shiva. The Shikhara Style temple built in 1204 AD with gardens and pathways has exquisitely crafted floral patterns and images of deities on the wall that adds to the overall beauty of the temple.The temple has 20 feet Mandapa supported by four pillars and two attractive statues of Nandi Bull with a small human figure holding the tail of Nandi. It is believed that the king of demons Ravana sacrificed his head ten times here and since then there are no Dussehra celebrations in the temple. The water at Baijnath Temple is believed to have curative and medicinal properties.
Later we will drive for about 200 Kms from Baijnath to reach Manali. Journey will take around 6 Hours to complete.
Day 6: Manali- Solang Valley- Vashisht Temple- Hadimba Devi- Manali
On this sixth day we enjoy what is undoubtedly the highlight of our stay in Manali, with our excursion to the Solang Valley. Solang Valley, locally known as Solang Nullah is 8500 feet above mean sea level. Its lush greenery, apple orchards, snowcapped peaks and lakes attracts lacs of visitors. Later we will Vashisht Temple and hot water springs.
On returning from Vashisht Temple we will visit Hadimba Devi Temple dedicated to Devi Hadimba wife of Bheem.In the evening you can stroll at the Mall Road. Night stay at hotel.
Please Note: National Green Tribunal( NGT ) is allowing only limited vehicle to Rohtang pass per day.Rohtang pass trip is subject to availability of permit from the SDM Office Manali on the spot with additional cost.
Trip to Rohtang Atal Tunnel can also be arranged on same day.
Day 7 : Manali- Vaishno Devi Temple - Raghunath Temple-Kullu- Hanogi Mata- Chandigarh
Check out from the hotel and drive for about 40 Kms to reach Vaishno Devi Temple at Kullu. Later we will visit Raghunathji Temple at Sultanpur Kullu. A long, low building behind the royal palace, this temple houses the idol of Raghunathji (a manifestation of Lord Rama), the presiding deity of Kullu. It is said that the king of Kullu Raja Jagat Singh brought the idol from Ayodhya. After darshan we will proceed for Chandigarh. On the way visit Hanogi Temple. In the evening we will drop you at Chandigarh railway station or your desired place.
